UntilPaid recovered $4,200 of overdue invoices in our first month — without a single awkward phone call.”
Everything you’d build yourself — if you ever had the time.
A ladder you control, end to end.
You decide what happens on day 1, 5, 10 and 14. Your words, your cadence. Messages only go out during your business hours, in your timezone.
- Client name, amount, due date and pay link fill themselves in
- Quiet-hours & weekday-only sending, built in
Stop asking nicely. Take back the work.
A client 14 days overdue who’s still using the site you built doesn’t need another email. We send a signed webhook to your app, and their access turns off. No awkward conversation, no manual lockout.
- HMAC-signed, so your endpoint can verify it’s really us
- Fires only after your polite steps have run
- Instantly reversed the moment Stripe marks it paid
POST /your-endpoint x-untilpaid-signature: sha256=… { "event": "invoice.access_revoke", "stripeInvoiceId": "in_1Qk8aZ…", "stripeCustomerId": "cus_Q…", "amountDue": 248000, "triggerDay": 14 }
Looks like you. Behaves itself.
Every message goes out from your own domain and stays within the rules. The client relationship and your sender reputation stay intact.
- One-click unsubscribe on every email
- Unsubscribes & hard bounces auto-suppressed
What are late payers costing you?
Slide to your numbers.
Around 30% is typical for agencies billing through Stripe.
Stripe’s reminders stop at polite. We don’t.
Free, but blunt
A 3-day and a 60-day invoice get the same polite nudge. No escalation, no access lock, no teeth.
Heavy & pricey
Built for finance teams — statements, ledgers, dashboards you don’t need, at $69–300+ a month.
One job, done well
Stripe-native escalation that ends in revoking access. Two-minute setup, priced for small shops.
What happens when I connect Stripe?
Less than you’d fear. This is the exact scope of the connection: what it allows, and what it makes impossible.
Connecting runs through Stripe’s official OAuth — the same screen you’ve used for every other Stripe tool. The scope on the right isn’t a promise we make, it’s the permission Stripe itself enforces: a read-only key that can’t move money and never sees card numbers.
Your invoices stay entirely in your Stripe account — we read them, react to them, and change nothing. And if you leave, one click in Settings disconnects Stripe and permanently deletes everything we hold.
- Encrypted in transit & at rest
- Disconnect & erase everything in one click
One recovered invoice pays for the year.
A single $1,000 invoice left unchased costs more than a year of any plan.

- SMS escalation is not live yet: we’re completing carrier registration. No plan is billed for it until it ships, and email reminders are unlimited on every plan today. When it lands, Pro includes 100 messages a month and Agency 500; beyond that it’s 5¢ per message sent, with yearly plans granted 1,200 (Pro) or 6,000 (Agency) a year.
- Seats
- A seat is one person you invite into your workspace, with their own sign-in and role, and pending invites count against the total. Starter is a single user; Pro includes 3 seats and Agency 10.
- Trial & billing
- The 14-day trial includes 3 seats so a team can evaluate together — moving to Starter afterwards leaves 1. No card is needed to start, and billing runs through Polar, our merchant of record, who handles VAT and sales tax worldwide.
What everyone asks before connecting their Stripe account
Is it safe to connect my Stripe account?
Yes. You connect through Stripe’s official OAuth with read-only access to your invoices and customers. We never move money, change invoices, or see card numbers. See the exact permissions, including what the connection makes impossible.
Will it spam my clients?
No. You control the cadence, messages only send during your business hours and timezone, every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and hard bounces are suppressed automatically. The moment an invoice is paid, the sequence stops. (SMS is coming soon; STOP replies will be suppressed the same way.)
What does “revoke access” actually do?
On the day you choose, we send a signed webhook to an endpoint you provide. What it locks is up to you — typically a staging site, a client portal, or a deliverable. It’s instantly reversed when they pay.
Do I need to use Stripe for invoicing?
Yes — UntilPaid is Stripe-native. If you bill clients through Stripe, you’re set. If you use Xero or QuickBooks instead, a broader AR platform will fit you better.
Who handles my subscription payment?
Checkout and billing for paid plans run through Polar, our merchant of record. They process your card and handle VAT and sales tax worldwide. Your clients’ invoices stay entirely in your Stripe account; we only ever read them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Anytime, self-serve. You can also disconnect Stripe and permanently delete all your data from Settings in one click.
Still have questions?
Email Jonas — the founder, not a support queue. He replies, usually within a few hours.
I built UntilPaid after chasing a $4,000 invoice for six weeks. The client wasn’t angry and they weren’t broke — the invoice just kept sliding down their inbox, and I dreaded writing each follow-up more than they dreaded paying it.
When the money finally landed I added up the hours I’d spent being my own collections department, and got annoyed all over again. So I built the tool I wanted back then: it chases politely, escalates firmly, and never finds it awkward. I still run it on my own invoices.
Your overdue invoices won’t chase themselves.
Every week they sit, collecting gets harder. Start your free trial and they start chasing themselves in under two minutes.
